I changed from a super glug to a gravity drinker as one of my girls did not like drinking from the super glug and was constantly jumping on top of it and making the water really mucky.

I could now do with replacing my drinkers and was thinking about changing to the glug that you get with the eglu. As I only have 4 hens in the cube would it hold enough water - it would be changed each morning? I have been using a 4 litre drinker but they only seem to use about half of that each day even when its hot weather.

my girls hated the superglug-never really took to it, so i just felt like i as throwing away good water (onto the veggies!!) , i changed back to the original eglu glugs and have 2 of them for 6 hens , i also have 3 spare for extra hot days or weekends away (you can never have to many!! :D )

PS- sold the superglugs on ebay and got good prices - that funded the glugs!

My ex batts really seem to like their glugs, can't say the same about the grubs as it took a couple of weeks before they would put their head in them, but the glugs are great. As they hook on they are out of the way and can't be knocked over or pooped in and you can really get a lot of water in them :D
