Darren Beaumont
How do you teach your chickens to use the super glug? Mine have shown no interest in it and just use my old gravity drinker. I could just remove the old drinker but as I work during the day I am concerned that they will become dehydrated if they don't know what to do. Any good tips? Chucky1
Darren, How about removing the other drinker while you are there. Then rattle the superglug so that the nipple is wet - as soon as one starts they will all follow. If they haven't cottoned on by the time you have to go replace the old drinker and try it again when you have some time. Good Luck
seanog
Hi Darren, I agree with the other comment. Hope it works
tokenwelshman
Then rattle the superglug so that the nipple is wet - as soon as one starts they will all follow. I tried this with my lot. They watched me rattling the superglug nipples, saw the water dripping down... and pecked the water off the bars of the run. Or off my finger. However eventually they got it, as I've seen all three of them properly using the superglug. They prefer the normal glug, though, they always drink from it if it's there. figarogir1
Mine all learnt to use the superglug but would drink out of anything rather than it so now I have lowered it so that they can drink out of the top
