Smart Feeder - Light sensor values

Do anyone else's girls do this?

 

Four of my girls apparently all wanted to lay at the same time today, and they all wanted to use the same nest box... despite the fact there is a second, perfectly good nestbox, exactly the same as the one they wanted to use right next to it.

 

I had two whole hours of bokking and fussing and stroppiness from the four girls, it was a right row until eventually they all managed to lay their eggs.

 

They will all use both nest boxes, but obviously today they wanted to be awkward!

 

Does anyone else get this? My poor neighbours.

Mine are exactly the same. They have two identical nest boxes side by side and they only ever use one.

My girls (5) have two identical nest boxes too but use only one, though not necessarily always the same one. I have seen them queue up for the day's box, but they seem to be patient. One waits in the coop while the other lays the egg in the box. And I don't think that this is always the case.
