Smart Feeder - Light sensor values

All of the bedding put down for the chicks is being kicked away by mum. She has re-made her nest within it so the chicks are on the newspaper covering the floor. Will this be ok and not to slippy for them?

 

I didn't realise how excited I would get at this whole process. Its mad! Everytime I have been to check on them a new chick has appeared!

congrats on the new chicks! my broody is doing the same, kicking out all the woodchips, it's driving me nuts as i keep having to rake up all the chippings around the eglu run. So mine are on newspaper too, and seem to be getting on fine with it, although it does need changing every day

If the chicks are a few days old and ok on their feet they will be fine

 

If they are brand new try replacing the newspaper with J cloths which are a bit more grippy
