Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Sadly I have decided the Eglu is not for me. Omlet have arranged a courier for Monday, no problem there. Putting it back in the boxes is like a giant, heavy Jigsaw puzzle.

 

I've got all the bits in except for the wheels. I had the 3m run and I think it should go in the box with the other run bits, but it's a tight fit. Anyone not upacked their can tell me how it goes in please?

 

Can't phone Omlet, they are closed at the weekend.

Hi, I have a 3m run with my cube and all the run pieces came in 1 box. The wheel assembly was in a seperate box with all the screws and clips egg boxes and grub and super glug. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply, it's very helpful. I tried that box first of all, because it was roughly the same size as the wheel assembly if they were put together, but I couldn't get it in! Maybe I will persevere a bit longer! The boxes are a bit of a tight fit.

We had an Eglu Classic for 3 weeks and decided it wasn't for us and we wanted a Cube instead so we returned ours by courrier. Unfortunately, my 'helpful' boyfriend gave the Classic's box to our neighbour to use in his pond!

 

I let Omlet know and they said we could return it in the Cube boxes - when these arrived there was no square box so they said it was fine for us to make a box as long as it gets to them and its all in one piece. So we manufactured our own box which wasn't pretty or square but it protected the eglu.

Thanks, once again a useful bit of advice. I was wondering how they would view an 'extra' package, I do have some bubble wrap and tape around, might be easier!

Sometimes a problem is best slept on!

 

I did this, and sitting down to look at it again I realised I had forgotted to take the bit off the wheel assembly which you step on to raise the house.

 

Eureka, it fits the box! However, it was a two man job to get it in, all is now boxed up and waiting for the courier tomorrow.
