donald
Hi I am confident my chickens will be ok with cats but I have 3 new bantams and today we were visited by a neighbours cat, fortunately with the dog going mad indoors it run off. Would a cat bother the bantams? Am now concerned as they are quite small and dont seem to be getting any bigger. Unfortunately I cant trust my dog (spaniel) so cant leave him out with them which is a shame. Donald
yogiwoods
I had exactly the same fears about getting bantams....I shouldn't have worried. Not only do my girls see off my own cat, I have, on a number of occasions, had to go out to rescue neighbours cats that have been cornered by my girls!! I am still cautious though, and they only get to free range when I am in with the back door open. That creates another issue... How do you get three cheeky girls out of your kitchen!! holz
We have 4 bantams, and had been shutting the cat in everytime we let them free range.... I have a bit more confidence in letting them all out together now though!
