maxjam
We recently upped our chicken count from 3 to 23 and are now (obviously) running out of food quicker than before. We used to make an occasional 20 mile round trip to collect our food but are now wondering if it will be more convenient to get it delivered. I have had a look on t'internet but from what I can see delivery is as much as the actual food. Does anyone here get their food delivered? And if so, where are the best deals? We currently use Heygates Layers Mash (£6.50 per 20kg bag) and Mixed Corn (£6.90 per 20kg bag) but would be willing to swap to another brand
Mercedes55
Most places online seem to charge quite a bit for delivery as the food is so heavy. I haven't found any site where the price of delivery is reasonable. Our nearest place to buy our ex batts food is about 35mins each way so when my OH goes there I make sure he picks up a bale of bedding and any other things I might need to make up for all the time it takes getting there and back
