Omlet Smart Autodoor - New in box

Please help my hen who I have had for nearly 2 years (ex-bat) has gone from being boss to not eating much, sitting in the one spot and her combe/wattle is going purple. She didn't come out of her nesting box today so I put some food and water so she could get it. Tonight I have put her in a box and brought her in the house. She had some water and had some sweetcorn out of a tin with help from me. She seems to have a problem with standing and isn't moving just sitting.

 

Has anybody got any ideas of what is wrong with her - PLEASE HELP

oh dear she does seem poorly.

she has done very well, 2 years is a good time for an ex bat.

You have done the right thing I think bringing her in.

Purple edges are quite common, but often it can be a sign of heart problem.

What ever I would Pop her to the vet ASAP in the morning.

It might be something easily treatable.

Thanx - I will try and take her tomorrow, just hope she lasts the night - the children will be so upset (and me)

Lottie is still with us - had some water and sweetcorn last night. I think it could be her lungs, she sometimes sounds as though she is snoring and is crackerly!! going to ring vets at 8.00am and see if they think it is worth seeing her xxx
