FiggyPudding
I just thought I'd give an update on Lola, who lost her dear friend, Ex-batt, to the fox. I reported she was so lonely (I was on hols) that she broke into next doors garden & decided to sunbathe with my (horrified) neighbour A very kind & local omletter volunteed to take her in, to join her flock of 11 hens. Lola arrived on the Sunday, to her own palatial eglu & clucked interestedly at fellow hens in their WIR. Within a week or so, Lola had her first 's"Ooops, word censored!"', which she won, then another one with the top girl, where she lost. After a couple of 'meetings' on the lawn, corn was thrown into the WIR & Lola confidently ran in with the rest of the flock. She is now extremely happy & No 2 bird I visited her last week & was very pleased when she came to my whistle...I'm even more pleased that she is so happy & settled in. Thanks for all advice during my time as a hen owner......it's been a pleasure...
