Chicken boarders

Hi

can anyone help, my exbat had some very strange symptoms I haven't seem before, yesterday I noticed she was quieter than normal and had a black spot appear on her wattle, then in the afternoon she had green diarrhea and then today I was just out there and she has this strange head/neck spasm going on? I have seen her drinking today but not eating and she has been stood on her own most of the day, any clues?

Ok I have just picked her up because I saw clear liquid come out of her nose and her crop is all squishy like its full of fluid, is this sour crop?

Sounds like sour crop. Smell her beak does it smell yeasty

 

Massage it and try and get some probiotic yogurt and garlic down her. Also try and make her sick....may need to do a couple of times and then again in the am.

we made her vomit before and lots of brown running smelly stuff came out, we did it a couple of times and it was getting thicker until it stopped coming out. We have given her some live yoghurt, is that ok? But she seemed much perkier and we even eating some mash.

Just be really careful emptying her crop. If you are tipping her up be careful as it is very easy for them to inhale some of the foul liquid - consequences can be fatal. Do it only for a short time and give her a breather in between. There is info on Sour Crop HERE
