Is your dog's unusual barking a secret code for something mysterious?

Hi

My first 3 hens laid large eggs so when we got Dottie (Speckledy) and Esmeralda (Rhode Rock) we expected eggs of a similar size. They are now about 30 weeks old and the eggs are 50+gms. When I looked up types to have I went by the number of eggs likely per year, never thought about size. Can anyone give me some ideas as to whether 1) the eggs might get bigger and 2) what breeds lay large eggs.

they do tend to get bigger over time, or at least ours do. it does depend on breed I think. also as they get (a lot) older they will lay fewer eggs but bigger ones.
