KateCooke Posted November 29, 2010 Share Posted November 29, 2010 I was led to believe that pure breeds dont lay much over winter. Well my hens are prooving that wrong. My welsummer laid her first egg a few weeks ago when the winds were gale force, and this weekend amongst teh snow my Wynndotte laid her first egg!! They have laid one every other day ever since.
