Chucky Mama
I saw this and wondered if it would be of any interest On Sunday February 13th at 10pm - Part One of a world-wide, on-line, two-part Introduction to the Art and Craft of Top Bar Bee Keeping. You can read about it here http://www.theorganicview.com and pre-register here http://www.biobees.com/training Entry is restricted to 100 places, which are already being snapped up. A donation is required (the technology has to be paid for!) and you can give whatever you think it is worth for you to learn 'live'. There will be opportunities to ask questions, either before or during the event. Part Two will be at the same time on the following Sunday 20th February. First UK Natural Bee Keeping Conference 2011 Friends of the Bees and the Natural Bee Keeping Trust are pleased to announce the First Ever UK Natural Bee Keeping Conference over the first weekend in August - 5-7th August. "This will be a great opportunity for all 'natural beekeepers' to get together and share their experiences, learn from others and show off their bright ideas - all under canvas in the delightful county of Worcestershire. We are hiring the country's most experienced (21 years) open-air conference organizers to provide the facilities, and the most knowledgeable speakers will be there to give of their wisdom! If you are already practicing, or thinking of taking up any variant of 'natural beekeeping', you need to be at this event!" You can pre-register to receive more information as it becomes available by going to http://www.biobees.com/conference
Old Speckled Hen
Thanks CM I get the Bee Alert email and I've already signed up for the First UK Natural Bee Keeping Conference 2011. You get a free guide to swarm prevention when you make a donation. The other sounds like some sort of online chat at 10pm............I'll give that one a miss.
