Ex bat Rescue day homes needed

Recommended Posts

Hey Mods I hope this is ok,

I know that these guys are desperate for homes due to a HUGE campaign to rehome 6,000 Free range hens 6 months from there normal cull date, and this has meant many battery girls losing a home. :(

However incase anyone needs reminding :( the Battery girls have never seen the sky, the sun, or felt the grass between their toes or the wind up their bums, been able to stretch their wings and legs, never dustbathed (oh the joy in that on release) and never been able to snuggle up somewhere cosy to lay that egg! :(

Hi All

BHWT Northants have a rehoming day on Sunday 27th February 2011.

If you would like to offer some of these lovely ladies a home please make contact with us and we will call you to discuss your and the hens requirements.

Collection will be from Brackley and the pick up time for rehomers is usually between 1pm and 3.30pm but we will need to confirm this nearer the time.

Contacts for Northants are anna.whiteside@bhwt.org.uk or emma.palmer@bhwt.org.uk

Alternatively you can call head office on 01769 580310

If you are closer to St Neots, Beds a small number of hens can be made available for collection on Monday 28th Feb but limited spaces are available so please register your interest with Emma as soon as possible.

We also occasionally have some cockerels that are looking for good homes if anyone can help.

Many thanks

Emma (Falkor) and Anna (X Bat Addict) and the rest of the Northants Team
