I am going to do my best to douse with red mite powder and will also put some in the dustbath Do i need to get some sort of a tonic for them-apple vinegar in the water maybe to help them to recover as quickly as possible...I will be having a good read through of my books later but would be nice to hear peoples experiences... Panic setting in now!
Chucky Mama
Definitely don't worm them straight away as they will be stressed from the move. You can get Flubenvet online - just google it You could use ACV in the meantime in the water. I personally would give them a tonic for the first couple of weeks while they are stressed (you can't mix 2 different things in the water though). I like Lifeguard - lots use Poultry Spice, you could also use something like Avipro which is a probiotic rather than a tonic.
j00lz_12366
i had replied to this and it seems to have vanished..how annoying! so would you give them the tonic as well as the apple cider vinegar or instead of..?
Chucky Mama
Personally, I would give them a tonic. You don't need to keep them on a tonic all the time. Perhaps give in for 2 weeks until they have settled and then you could switch to the ACV and maybe give Lifeguard once a month
