sandyhas3chucks
I currently only have 3 girls in the WIR at night and there are 2 Eglus. We used to be 2 +2 (when there were 4!!!) and then when it got cold they became 4.., sensible eh? Now it is hot there is often one on her own, the 1 constantly changes!! Last night there were 3 all together but one , Daisy was looking out of the door panting, the other 2 (snuggles not roosters) were standing with wings apart. Then panting Daisy opted to sleep alone. 2 of the 3 often come back out of bed for more food grit, whatever! Well like last year I popped in a freezer pack (I leave the front roosting bars in, and if anyone wants to roost they can and they do on the nest box sometimes. Well at 9 .30 I went out to shut the doors, looked in and one girl in each sort of snuggled up to the freezer pack (under the bars) Not silly these girls!!!
