vegasmad
One of our chickens has begun picking up bits and pieces from her run and putting them on her back. We're not sure why and she hasn't done this before. Is this usual? Can anyone shed any light on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Chickybaby
Yes mine do this occassionaly, think it's just their nesting behaviour......some do it and some don't. If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will come along and explain it properly.
Redwing
Thats right, its normal nesting behaviour, they do it even when not planning to lay sometimes just to keep us on our toes
