majuka Posted May 23, 2011 Share Posted May 23, 2011 I didn't see all of this, I had literally walked through the door when my mum started ringing to tell me to turn BBC 1 on NOW! What I did see really shocked me. Because our girls are older ex batts, we don't always get enough eggs from them so we sometimes buy eggs - free range of course - or so we thought..... Also restaurants and cafes, believing they are using free range eggs in their food are being conned by their suppliers. Absolutely appalling, I know that my mum mentioned that one man got 3 years for fraud, at least he will now have some idea about what it like to be locked up although he will still have a cushy time compared to a battery hen.
