killeen3
I am fairly new tochicken keeping and yes it is addictive. We bought our purple eglu classic in February along with a Gingernut Ranger (Margaret) and a Miss Pepperpot (Doreen) named after the mother and mother in law he he, we then added a Blue belle (Miss Phoebarella) and a White Star(Poppy). They have been the best pets ever and get on well with our 13 year old golden lab and 3 year old chocolate lab. They have laid everyday for the past 6 weeks but imagine my surprise when I got Margarets egg yesterday a 100g whopper. I love my chickens they are great fun and I am persuading our head teacher to buy and eglu for the the children I teach who all have special needs, I think they will be a brilliant addition for our special needs school. Ain't Nobody Here
Welcome to the forum . Congratulations on your huge egg . You've qualified to go onto the Omlet Large Egg Leader Board . As you'll see 100g may seem big but there are some real whoppers on there . There are a few threads on the forum about schools getting chickens - you might find some of them useful .
