Xbox live

Recommended Posts

My son has an xbox and a 12mnth subscription to xbox live, but neither of us are to sure what that gives him and just what it can do. He has down loaded a couple of demo games, has played a Call of Duty game online (15) but this won't work, now so he tells me. Any tips please.

Hello, have consulted my son who is a bit of an xbox fan. With the xbox gold membership your son will be able to talk to more than one person at a time and play online games with his friends. He can download game demos at the Game Marketplace. Not sure why the Call of Duty game is not working online. PP

Gold membership basically entitles him to play online, you can talk to people in party chat without a gold membership. Call of Duty (COD) wise, is the disk clean? and has he tried to clean it with a paper towel as that can scratch the disk even more. COD normally has good servers (as I play this game online, ALOT, too much if I do say so myself) and I've never heard of the servers going down, so its more likely the disk if anything.

Although I did have a problem once with playing it, but that turned out to be my xbox and the ring of death (ie my xbox broke :( ).

I will investigated the disc situation. Could you tell me which section the online gaming is under, I haven't found it although, my son must have! Thank you :D

It depends which game you are playing, with Call Of Duty, when it loads up you go on multilayer then go on xbox live,(that's from memory, it might not be them exact words), and then select which game type you want to play.
