Scrambled egg Posted June 5, 2011 Share Posted June 5, 2011 Every single morning without fail, our two chickens Hattie and Dustferret go MENTAL. They crow and make that horrible squawking noise, usually starting at around 5-ish and then whenever throughout the day. It is so very irritating, because we can only stop them doing it if we go out and see them. We've tried the tough love method- ignoring them, but they can go for hours! It's really annoying everyone. I'm scared that one day they actually will need help, say a fox in their pen or something, and we'll just assume they're pulling off their usual stunt. My mum thinks it might be them trying to crow like a rooster, could this be it? Has this happened to anyone else, and how can we fix it!?
