sjwebb1
I have three chickens all are about a year and a half old and have layed eggs most days since we have had them. One of them (malted her feathers during December last year no problems) has stopped laying eggs for the past few weeks and her comb and wattles have become smaller and slightly greyer (normally red). She is the mother hen and is still eating and drinking ok - so any ideas as to why she has stopped laying?
Henchanted
Hello just wondered if you have wormed them recently because if not that would be worth a try, parasites can disrupt egg laying and cause paler combs. Try giving a few meal-worms as a high protein treat in the evenings, or after they have eaten all their pellets and avoid other treats/fr if you are worming to ensure they get/eat the full dose of wormer. sandyhas3chucks
As can cocci... and lots of other infections... the comb description sound fairly typical of a non laying hen..
