fujcube
Hi all, I have 6 Welsummer eggs in the incubator and another 16 under 2 broody hens, all due to hatch next weekend. Although I'd like to keep at least on eof the boys, unfortunately, I am unable to as my neighbours would have me strung up. How reliable is it to sex the chicks by the stripe across their head, down their backs and under their eyes. From what I have read, the females markings are much darker and more clearly defined than those of the males. I'd hate to get rid of the females by mistake!
