Shell
Hi I have a male Japanese quail in a hutch/run with 2 females pending getting more females and hubby building me an avairy for them. Both the females lay each day but today I watched one lay in the same place as the other female then the male made some very strange noises and rolled both eggs around trying to get on top of them. He has been doing this for about half an hour. I am 99% sure he is male as he crows but don't know why he would be doing this. The females show no interest at all in the eggs once they have laid. Any idea what he is doing ?
