Just Bought Eglu Go - When Best To Move

Recommended Posts

Good Evening All

Firstly as a new member I would like to say hello!!

I have kept my hens for around a year. I have 2 ex battery and 2 pure bread hens. They have been kept in a typical wooden coop for the year. Around 3 weeks ago I notice mites so I have bitten the bullet and bought an Eglu. I have been treating the chickens with powder and spraying the coop but the mites still remain. What I am looking for is when is the best time to move the chickens to reduce the risk of contaminating the Eglu? would it be first thing in the morning after spraying the Eglu, Ivermecing the birds and powdering them or later on in the day?

I intend to burn the infested coop and they chickens are going to be moved to a totally new area of the garden.

I just want to minimise the risk of bringing them with the chickens so any help / advice would be greatly appreciated.
