A couple of times now I've found a strange egg in the Cube (never in the nesting box, always the roosting bars). It's like an egg without any shell at all; spread out and it looks like it has a sort of knotted bit in the end. Really hard to describe what it looks like - why didn't I take a picture before I posted this! It's only happened about 4 times since I've had the chooks, but it's been twice in the last fortnight so thought I'd better check it out with you guys. Many thanks. chickencam Posted September 14, 2011 Share Posted September 14, 2011 They will sometimes lay odd eggs when they are tailing off lay or coming into lay, maybe they are coming to the end of the season and about to go into their moult.
