mabelandflosmum
I will have a 3 and a half year old hen which I want to introduce to 3 new young hens, following the death of her companion. I have ordered a cube to house them all, the old hen lived in an eglu. Do you think it will be all right to put all the hens together at the same time in the cube as it will be new to them all? Bit worried about bullying etc!

FosPet
I've recently introduced 2 newbies to my old girl and i followed the advice on the forums. I think we tried to rush it and had to go back to separating them as none of them looked very happy. It's been a tense few weeks and I never thought they would all get along- OH was talking about getting rid of Gertie if she wouldn't start being nice to the newbies! I'm really pleased to say that after 5 weeks of worry, they seem to be buddies and Gertie even let the new girls into the Eglu tonight - yay!! You need to be patient (my OH isn't) and they'll sort themselves out eventually.
