Suspected Worms - when does flubenvet start working?

Recommended Posts

I think my little Camilla has worms. She is very quiet and hunched up with watery watery poo. We have to lift her in and out of the house each day. She does still take herself off for a long walk around the garden (slowly) and is eating and drinking.

I have put flubenvet in their food. Yesterday I made sure she got her dose by adding it to a small amount of porridge which she ate.

How long does it take for the flubenvet to work?

Thanks.

Op.

You will need to give the full weeks course dosing as directed in the packaging for it to work properly. It will start to work straight away. If you have seen a lot of worms it would be worth doing them again before the standard 3-4 months. You may also want to look at your general husbandry to see if you can reduce the number of eggs that they are picking up in the environment. If your worming regime is sufficient you should never see worms as they will be killed by your wormer before they get large enough to be visible.
