Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Yesterday I had a brainwave for waterproofing the bottom of the WIR (littlies home) so let them out for a wander whilst work was in progress. Brillo, the Twitters & Thora Birchen happily truffled round the bit of garden outside the run but Evil Edna and her cohort Smuts (the Twiglets) went to tease the big girls. Didn't think anything of it, so quarter of an hour later when I went round the front I was startled to find Evil Edna on the roof (it's a bungalow) and Smuts on the 7ft fence. Glad to say both came down easily.

 

Didn't want to clip their little wings but needs must, now where's the scissors?

That's quite a jump . I think scissors are definitely required .
