monstermunch
One of my ex-batts keeps laying very pale eggs and the shells are thin and like fine sandpaper all over, I can't find alot of information about this other than that it's ok every so often, but this is every single time for the last couple of weeks (she's laying about every other day at the moment). Has anyone else had the same experience and is it something I should be worried about? She seems healthy otherwise and is behaving normally. Ain't Nobody Here
I've no experience of ex-batts so don't know if it's perhaps something they suffer from. Have you tried extra calcium in their diet? You can bake and crush eggs shells to add to the feed or there are powdered or liquid forms of calcium available. monstermunch
Thanks, I will give that a go. I've also mixed some oyster shell in their food for some extra calcium; I'm more just worried that it means there's something wrong with her
