lemon1 Posted January 2, 2012 Share Posted January 2, 2012 Whilst cleaning out poop from eglu (as done at least every other day),husband found odd egg!He describes it as 'like the sack but without any shell'. What is this a sign of?Could a chicken be sick?One of the chickens he said seemed unually reluctant to leave the eglu.When myself and daughter went to investigate the chicken in question she didnt want to move off the nest and puffed out her feathers. She didnt seem to be in any distress,she hasnt dirty of missing feathers and her comb is red.Could she have just been wanting to lay an egg,indeed it could be our other chicken or bantam that laid suspect offering!Oh dear,what could this mean?!
