Janepie33
We have 6 chickens and they have been happily laying in the the nesting box in the Eglu Cube up until last week when they all decided that they would prefer to lay in an old temporary nest box we have in a converted shed. Instead of lovely fresh straw they choose old newspaper and even rush there to lay once I let them out to free range. Very odd behaviour! Anyone else experienced anything similar? Adelochick
Hi Janepie33, Are there any sign of mites in the cube nestbox area which might be putting them off using it? Have a good look at the straw, as being hollow can 'home' the little critters I've read somewhere (book or on here). I'm sure an experienced omleteer will probably give you more advice shortly, good luck, Jx.
