percy049 Posted April 5, 2012 Share Posted April 5, 2012 One of our hens last month laid a soft shelled egg all week, then was alright and laid an egg almost everyday. This week she's been laying soft shelled eggs. She's had a messy bum so we washed it today, and there was all lice eggs stuck around her vent feathers. these are dead though as they've been there a while but there have been no signs of lice. Her underneath has lost a lot of feathers and is very raw, so we put some vaseline on. She's been in the nest box for most of today, even though she did lay a soft shelled egg this morning. we took her out to check her and she did a very watery poo.
