Checkout Chick
We had a tiny egg laid today with what looks like an umbilical cord attached. We think it from our new hen Lucy who is about 20-21 weeks old as the other 3 have been laying as normal. Is this usual as we have not had anything like this before? Egluntyne
Just a bit of wonky membrane probably. It should settle when she gets the hang of laying.
Checkout Chick
Thanks for that. Just wanted a bit of reassurance really. We thought it probably was because she is not used to laying yet. Especially as the egg was only a little bigger than a 20 pence piece!
