broody chicken

Recommended Posts

Mabel is broody. I cured her once by putting her in the broody cage with food and water for 3 days. She was fine when I let her out and she started laying again.

But last week she started being broody again so I confined her as before. However, she began her broody behaviour (while actually in the cage) and wasn't eating or drinking. When I let her out she went straight back to the nesting box in the Eglu and has remained there ever since.

What should I do next? Anyone any ideas. Thanks.
