One dismantled fence later...

Recommended Posts

...I get her back in the garden..!

I think my chickens are getting pretty good at getting the better of me. This time one 'escaped', and after looking high and low... down the lanes, and in other people's yards, I return to the cube in despair, only to catch a glimpse of a movement behind the fence.

Behold... there she is, scratching quite happily in the soil behind there and weaving between the hedge stems. Took a trail of my wife's strawberries to lure her out after taking a couple of panels off, but I am pleased she is back with the others.

I think this 'lady' should be renamed Tom, Dick or Harry... What's your worst (best) escape story?

lol. When mine free ranged all the time I had them out in the garden....came in and did some work....went out to put them into the coup...and they weren't there!!!

Ran out the front and checked up and down the street...nope :anxious:

 looked over the fence and there they all were quite happily eating next doors flower  ....luckily my neighbour weren't in so I ran around their garden chicken chasing and eventually got them back over the fence!!

Next time they were out I watched them going onto the decking, hopping onto the brick built bar-b-q and then hopping over the fence :shameonu::wall:

Needless to say the WIR has been a godsend in saving my neighbours flowers :lol:
