smcdonald1000
After I lost my Warrens earlier this year I swore that I'd never have chickies again - BUT we lasted about a month! We now have: Millie - Pekin Bantam, Buffy - Buff Orpington Bantam and Treacle - Jubilee Orpington Bantam All too young to lay, but such fun. I wanted to ask - how big does a bantam Buff Orpington get? - she's enormous! almost as big as my Warrens were. Also has anyone else have or had Jubilee Orpingtons - she is sooo tiny and not very confident - do they always stay like this? We have a proper WIR for them now and a tidy garden! zakjon-98
Sorry about your warrens your new hens sound great though. Buff orpingtons are big birds so the bantams are a decent size although shouldn't get any bigger than the size of a warren hen and I'm sure your jubilee Orpington will tame eventually with treats. Some people find they calm down a bit when in lay as well. Good luck
Parsley
My jubilee Orpington Lola is the reason I have so many chickens. I felt sorry for her as she was bottom of the heap and such a sweet girl so decided to get her her own little group of friends She is now in her second year and has blossomed into a beautiful girl from the scraggy little thing she was when I first got her.
