dutchie
Now the winter weather is here, I'm going to put the clear omlet cover on our run. Do I still need the green cover to provide some shade? I'm guessing it's not needed in the winter sun?
good_egg
I don't use it on mine, but they can hide under cube if there is sun. If there's no shade might so no harm to leave on but wouldn't think it was necessary - I'd welcome any sun I could get I I was a chook (and also as a human!) dutchie
Thanks Good Egg, I'll leave the sun cover off for now, and see how it goes. At least the run is drying out a bit now. Nice blog btw. Your new chicks look cute. Cheers, Menno
Willow_Warren
I've just got the clear rain cover for winter (thought it would let in more light than the dark one). However I have put the triangular shade one kind of on the side of the run to try and give some further wind protection. Hannah
