piglet
My RIR had peritintitus earlier this summer, the vet drained the fluid & gave her anti inflammatory meds I was pleased to see she made a good recovery she has been through a full moult & was back to her normal self, but earlier in the week I noticed she didn't seem able to poo. I eventually caught her to have a look I could see her vent was very dirty with a build up of poo, I immediately brought her in and bathed her (not easy she doesn't enjoy a bath) but on closer inspection once id cleaned the poo away it looks like rubber egg underneath stuck to the skin all round the vent. It was very sore so i cleaned as much as i could at a time & I have had to do this another 2 times until as much of the crust has been removed. I've sprayed her with super plume for now as that as aloe Vera & anti bacterial tea tree in it. Has any one else had this occur? Should I take her to the vets or see how she is in a few days. She is eating & drinking normally & is quick enough on her feet when I try to catch her. Any advice will be great fully received.
Ain't Nobody Here
It sounds like it might be a lash.
sandyhas3chucks
My vet removes the meat lumps... Personally then I would take steps to prevent further eggs...
