Ants and piggies . . . help!

I cleaned out the guinea pig eglu today and was shocked to see hundred of ants running about under the tray. The chicken eglu was ok when I cleaned that out, no sign of ants at all. Anyone had the same problem? Do you think they bother the piggies?
