Auto door randomly closing during the day

Would you believe it but both Cilla and Ivy have decided to go very determinedly broody, why ever would they do that in all this cold weather, only had it in spring and summer before. Still taking them off the nest several times a day and shutting them out as worried they won't get enough food to be able to cope with the cold. Will it just make it worse if I try and make sure they get extra rations?

I've very little experience of broodies, but I would have thought you're doing the right thing in making sure they eat enough for the cold weather. The day's are short enough as it is, without wasting eating time being broody... dafties eh...

Definitely daft! Gave them all some warm porridge before bed tonight as it so cold.
