Princess Leia Posted February 20, 2013 Share Posted February 20, 2013 Just recently, we have had a beautiful (and huge) male pheasant as a regular garden visitor. It looks like he's showing off to the girls - is this known behaviour? Can't think of any other reason for him to be there as our garden backs onto open farmland so he's not likely to be after food? newcountrygirl Posted February 21, 2013 Share Posted February 21, 2013 Every morning when I look out of my kitchen window there are at least 6 or 7 female pheasants round the bird feeder. The male ones hang about in the back garden occasionally near the run where the chickens are but i can't say that they take much notice of the chickens.
