The 3 D's Posted March 27, 2013 Share Posted March 27, 2013 Hi all, took our buff orp to vets yesterday cos she had one eye closed for a few days. She said that she think she may have scratched it. So she's given us some eye drops. Anyone else given their chooks eye drops? Cos we are having real difficulty with it! So has anyone got a technique to it? Redwing Posted March 27, 2013 Share Posted March 27, 2013 Put the chook in the crook of your arm, one wing will be against your body and the other under your arm (if you are right handed this will usually be your left arm) If you cant hold the bird still this way then sit against something so they cant back away under your arm You should be able to use your thumb and a finger on the same hand to hold the birds head against you and hold the eye open Then use your other hand to administer the drops Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
