lozza_9
hiya A friend of mine is looking for a new home for her chicken as her other chicken died. I am thinking about helping her out and taking the chicken but my main concern is my girls i presently have. Got them from Eglu about feb this year. The new chicken is about 2 years old, so only one year of laying left. Can anyone offer any advice. Thanks Lorraine
Snowy
Hi Lorraine, There will be the usual scuffles for pecking order so be prepared to step in if needs be. As your friends chicken is older she may try to be top dog which your 2 obviously won't appreciate. There is enouh space in the eglu and run for 3, and if they get to free range even better. There are never any guarentees, but certainly worth a try!
lozza_9
I've found out that our friends chicken eats eggs. Has anyone else had any experience of chickens who do this and how can it be stopped? Thanks
