Omlet cube and run

We had three hybrid chickens in an Eglu and extended run previously . We are thinking of getting bantams and wondered about four . I would be interested to know what other people think and their experiences? If I get three I think one is always left out - so was thinking of four ? What do you think ?

If you are thinking of Pekins...then I think 4 would be fine. I had 3 hens and a cockerel in mine and it was fine. You'd have a bit more nest box competition if it was 4 hens, which may be a bit of an issue if one was broody, but there are ways around that.

In terms of mess, I'd say my Bluebelle hybrid makes as much mess on her own as at least 3 Pekins.
