Chicken boarders

DD is thinking of running for Head Girl but she is struggling to think on something different to bring to the 6th Form. Many stay in small groups and don't mix/wont mix. The Common Room is well equipped and there are 2 large social events each year. Some will always go and others never will. Any ideas? They can't have music in the Common Room and a PS2/3 is likely to get pinched

I assume that she has to apply and then have some sort of interview? Good for her for having a go

What about a sporting even? Staff vs students. Everyone must take part that is involved in 6th form. Even if its table tennis or conkers

A 6th form charity stall. From pens, plants, knitted objects, keyrings, again everyone must join in, even if its just buying something.

I was going to suggest they adopt a charity, and then brainstorm different fund-raising ideas.

 

Does she know why some of them don't want to come - are they too cool for school, or is there a clique that dominates the 6th form? Would the teaching staff support a new initiative? It's hard to get people to mix if they have just made up their minds that they don't 'do' social events.
