Jenthelibrarian
Just a quick thought... Can/will hens drink out of those inverted drippy bottles you use for bunnies and g-pigs? My girlies jump onto [and into] the Omlet Glug and have been known to knock it right off. This seems to happen if they get very over-excited, like this evening when they were taunted by a couple of very brazen cheeky magpies I was worrying about them being without drinking water if they manage to do this when we're not here to sort them out and wondering if a bottle might be a back-up. McGraw2601
Hi, I just collected my ladies from a local breeder who had been hen sitting for me and he had a wide variety of birds in all different kinds of houses and they all had the water bottles. To my surprise my girls were using it quite happily. He said you may go through a lot of water in the first few days as the ladies 'play' with the ball on the end but after that everything should go smoothly and they will use it no problem. auntielizzie
Absolutely yes! I always have a bunny bottle on the go in addition to the glugs and the girls use it quite happily! In fact I always put their apple cider vinegar in the bunny bottle. They seem to like using it very much!
