debbiedoobs
I've just noticed that my black silkie has a swollen comb, she is completely fine in herself though! She has always had a frequent cherp. She does it mainly when drinking, but this past week or so so has been doin it over and over. Will try and get her in at the vets tomorrow but in really concerned after trying to investigate it online! People seem to recommend culling the entire flock! Can't bare to think that, I adore my silkies
Egghead68
Don't cull them!!! How did you get on at the vet's?
debbiedoobs
No i havent culled them. God i would hate to have to do that. I've spoken to the vet and got an appointment for fri. Vet didn't seem too concerned and thought it could be a secondary infection. She isn't any worse and the lump isnt any bigger so will get her checked over and hopefully she'll be fine. Thanks x
debbiedoobs
Vet says not to worry as she looks healthy, looks bright eyed, still eating and drinking etc. She thinks she might just havea narrowing of her wind pipe or something. Thankfully she's still ok and that's all that matters
