Eggasperated
I have just bought an edible pumpkin from Sainsburys and hunted out my recipe - I have altered it and scribbled on it so much every year that I thought it might be a good idea to start from scratch again. Does anyone have a favourite recipe they might like to share ?

Roll out and place in pie pan. 1/2 cup pecan pieces, chopped very fine 1/2 cup backed dark brown sugar 3 tablespoons softened butter mix well. Press firmly into the bottom of the pie crust. chill at least 1/2 hour. Filling: 2 large eggs beaten till frothy 3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar 1 cup canned pumpkin 1 tablespoon flour 1/4 tsp cloves 1/4 tsp mace 1/2 tsp ginger 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp salt 1 cup evaporated milk Beat on low only till well mixed. Eggasperated
Thank you Peach, I did resurrect my old recipe in the end and it's very similar to yours but without the pecan nuts. As I've got plenty of pumpkin left I'm going to have a go with the pecans as it sounds lovely .
