Pumpkin Pie

Pumpkin Praline Pie

2 1/2 cups flour

1 tsp sugar

1/4 to 1/2 cup ice water

1 tsp salt

1 cup butter

Mix and chill at least one hour. Roll out and place in pie pan.

 

1/2 cup pecan pieces, chopped very fine

1/2 cup backed dark brown sugar

3 tablespoons softened butter

 

mix well. Press firmly into the bottom of the pie crust. chill at least 1/2 hour.

 

Filling:

2 large eggs beaten till frothy

3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar

1 cup canned pumpkin

1 tablespoon flour

1/4 tsp cloves

1/4 tsp mace

1/2 tsp ginger

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup evaporated milk

 

Beat on low only till well mixed.

Bake at 375 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes. The pie is done when filling is set but still slightly jiggly in center.
