nannyhenny
I know this makes me sound like some kind of sick voyeur but does anyone know if there are comparison photos of different hen droppings anywhere on this site? I've just had two new pol hens to join our three established hens. They're settling in gradually (taking it slowly) but one of them is producing poo I haven't seen before. It's soft, sometimes runny, with red bits in it. I've found an explanation that it's bits of shed intestinal tissue and quite harmless but I'd like to know what Omlet people think - and see some varieties of droppings to compare. nannyhenny
Crikey - that's what I call pictures of poo! Thanks, Olly. Glad to see that the new girl's seem in the normal range - they're on grass for the first time and a bit stressed by being chivvied about by the big girls, I dare say, so that will account for most of what they're producing. Does anyone know why intestinal lining is shed?
